Tree Surgery Across Durham
We carry out full tree surgery and removal, including crown reduction, crown lifting, crown thinning, and deadwooding, all to BS 3998. Stump grinding is available as part of a removal or as a standalone visit, and where a tree has a weak fork or a developing split, we can assess it for cabling or bracing rather than defaulting to removal.
Durham has a significant number of trees within conservation areas and covered by Tree Preservation Orders, particularly around the historic city centre and the World Heritage Site around the Cathedral and Castle. If you're unsure whether a tree on your property is protected, it's worth checking with Durham County Council before any work goes ahead, we can also advise as part of a tree health survey and TPO advice visit.
